Kerry Brown, C.A.
Mr. Brown is Chairman and CEO of Foundation Equity Corporation an Edmonton based venture capital firm with a broad base of investments in biotechnology, technology and manufacturing. He is a chartered accountant.
Bruce Hirsche, Secretary
Mr. Hirsche possesses extensive legal background in the creation and financing of knowledge-based companies including Board Directorship in many of these companies. He is currently a partner at Parlee McLaws of Edmonton. Bruce holds a Master of Laws designation.
Wolfgang Muhs, Chairman
Dr. Muhs has had an outstanding career in pharmaceutical manufacturing and executive level management. He has served at an executive level for Laporte PLC, Degussa GmbH and Rhodia Pharma Solutions. He holds a PhD in organic chemistry.
Gerard Tertzakian
Dr. Tertzakian has over 30 years experience in the creation, management, and financing of knowledge based companies. He is past Chair & CEO of Innovotech, Raylo Chemicals and Cytovax. He possesses a PhD in organic chemistry.
James Timourian, Treasurer
Dr. Timourian is a former university mathematics professor and successful investor in technology companies. He possesses a PhD in Mathematics.
John Pinsent, C.A.
Mr. Pinsent is a founding partner with St Arnaud, Pinsent and Associates and former Assurance Senior Manager and Director of Technology with Ernst and Young LLP. Mr. Pinsent has more than twenty years experience in both public practice and private industry.
Lorne Babiuk
Dr. Babiuk is currently a Vice President (Research) at the University of Alberta. Prior to joining the University of Alberta, Dr. Babiuk spent over 30 years at the University of Saskatchewan where he was instrumental in the growth of VIDO (Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization) into a world renowned centre for vaccine development.
